Study Days Figures of Fascism

From 17 to 19 September, P.A.R.T.S. hosted Figures of Fascism and Antifascist Solidarities, three days of films, performances, lectures and conversations curated by Bojana Cvejić, in collaboration with Kaaitheater, KANAL-Centre Pompidou and The Oslo National Academy of the Arts.

Bringing together students, artists, cultural workers, activists and researchers, the programme explored different forms of contemporary fascism and the ways in which solidarities can emerge across different struggles. It looked at connections between anti-immigration policies, racialised police violence, and cuts to the arts, education, media and research, while asking how collective work, shared knowledge and mutual support can become forms of resistance.

Across three days, the programme brought together a wide range of voices and perspectives, including artist Dora García, writer and queer activist Sarah Schulman, Valeria Graziano and Tomislav Medak of Pirate Care, Anna Rispoli and collaborators from La Candidate, as well as activists from different generations. The Study Days were part of the research project Choreographing Fascism, led by Bojana Cvejić and collaborators at The Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
