Start of the new academic year 2020-2021

We are happy to announce that, on Monday August 31st, we opened the new academic year 2020-21 with live programs for Training (2nd year) and STUDIOS (2nd year).
Of course we are talking about a lot of safety measures, smaller groups, bubbles, extra space to guarantee social distancing, timeslots, facemasks, sanitizers and circulation plans, but we have made it work.

The upcoming weeks the Training cycle has yoga classes with Laia Puig Escandell and Stéphane Bourhis, contemporary technique classes with Alesandra Seutin and David Hernandez, Rosas repertoire (Drumming) with Clinton Stringer, Cynthia Loemij, Jakub Truszkowski, Sue-Yeon Youn, Tale Dolven, Taka Shamoto and Ursula Robb, rhythm with Michel Debrulle, singing with Fabienne Séveillac and Lucy Grauman. Meanwhile the students are also working on a solo, coached by Christine De Smedt and Femke Gyselinck.

For the Drumming repertoire workshop we have the opportunity to work at Wild Gallery working space 2020/2021. Since September P.A.R.T.S. shares a temporary residency space with choreographer Isabella Soupart and Ictus Ensemble, a 1500 m2 space in a post-industrial building in Forest put at the disposal by Profirst agency.

During the first weeks, the STUDIOS students focus on completing the evaluations of their first year, with walk & talk presentations for Movement Research and presentations of their Self-Directed research projects. In addition, they have a workshop on archiving and artistic documentation with Kattrin Deufert and first sessions on arts policy with Ingrid Vranken and theory with Bojana Cvejic.
