INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM - WEEK 2
Contemporary technique class with Younes Khoukhou
A body work preparation based on breathing exercises in relation to the anatomy structure of our bodies, that will lead us to sensitivity and listening and open our bodies and creating
spaces for dialogues.
Quick physical investigation and study of different schemas that we rely on to move.
Proposing different schemes that provide constant movement dialogue within the body and its surrounding, working with the notion of the instability and the momentum that will lead us in letting the body express immediate sensations via movement, and making the body available for endless possibilities.

Creative workshop with Steven Michel
During the workshop I will start by sharing tools and practices I’ve been developing in relation to my performative work.
I often start with the making of an atmosphere or environment to enter into and start trying things out through either physical or mental states. I like to immerse myself in imaginary and speculative situations within defined parameters.
In this workshop you’ll be invited to explore a physical inquiry into the realms of technology, virtuality and paranormal phenomena - all recurring and/or fresh themes within my current practice.
We will explore liminal spaces and blurring the lines between presence and absence, artificial and organic, familiar and uncanny, visible and invisible, science and fiction. We will research how media technology affects our body and psyche in relation to reality, spirituality and alterity.
Polyphonic movements, overlapping sensations, haunted bodies, invisible dancing, physical mantras - these will be some of the things we will start digging into. From this, together, we will make new creative resources.
