Dagmar Dachauer was born in 1988 in Linz/Austria.

She started dancing at age six and attended preparatory courses at both Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität and PerformDance until graduating from music highschool in Linz.
Dagmar has obtained her BA in Dance at Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten/Netherlands, where she has worked with Liat Waysbort and Damian Munoz a.o.

After her studies at P.a.r.t.s., for which she got the Austrian scholarship for dance studies abroad from bm:ukk, Dagmar worked with Dance/Performance Group T.r.a.s.h./NL for the piece “Safe Absence - Humanoid Trilogy, Episode 2“, which was awarded the Magnolia Prize at Kontrapunkt Festival/Poland.

Two collaborative productions followed. „Tonight I don’t take no calls ’cause I’ll be dancing“, a collaboration with Melanie Wirz, Filine Volkmann and Katja Scholz has been supported by and presented at Festival FACES in Hamburg, Germany.

Together with a multidisciplinary collective, consisting of her (dance, choreography, voice), Philipp Mayer (voice, composition, sound), Sebastian Pirch (projection mapping, new media), Viktor Delev (new media, film), David Maier (acting, writing) and Ralph Mothwurf (coaching), she realized the crossdisciplinary piece „KrazMan“ in Berlin, Vienna and Andorf. They were Artist in Residence at im_flieger/Vienna, supported by Spiel Festival/Andorf and keep touring the piece.

In 2012 Dagmar started studying Handbalancing and Dance Acrobatics in the independent course Artistic Development within the Discipline at the Circus Department of DOCH/Stockholm.

Since 2009, Dagmar has been part of the organizational and artistic direction of Spiel-Festival Andorf/Austria, offering performances, lectures, workshops, concerts and open stages in the setting of an organic farm in Upper-Austria. See: www.spielfestival.at
