Andros Zins-Browne grew up in New York City and began studying ballet at the Joffrey Ballet School at age 7.  He began choreographing his own pieces in High School and in 2002, graduated from Brown University with a degree in Art Semiotics.  Afterwards, he pursued his dance studies in Brussels, Belgium at P.A.R.T.S, the school of Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.  While at P.A.R.T.S. Andros made five pieces which have toured internationally and throughout Europe.  His graduation piece,Limewire*, put Andros on the map of young contemporary choreographers in Europe and continues to tour.  In 2007 he co-created The Kansas City Shuffle an audience-participatory performance based on the Black Market.  In 2008 he premiered Neverland, a 3-D video installation performed by a professional Michael Jackson impersonator, as well as Second Life, a piece which involved elderly amateur performers. As a dancer, Andros has performed in the works of Jonathan Burrows (The Stop Quartet), Danish choreographer Mette Ingvartsen (Giant City ), and Tino Sehgal (This Variation).   In 2010 Andros premiered his second full-length piece, The Host, a collaboration with German sculptor Stefan Demming which was awarded the Goethe Institute Prize at the Impulse theatre festival in Germany. In 2010- 2011 Andros was a researching artist-in-residence in the fine arts department at the Jan Van Eyck Academy in Maastricht.  In 2012 he premiered his newest work, Welcome To the Jungle at De Singel in Antwerp. In 2013 he will premiere The Lac of Signs which will be a solo for dancer Chrysa Parkinson. His work has been presented in a.o. Kaaitheater, Brussels; HAU, Berlin; Dance Umbrella, London; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Since 2007, Andros has been an associated artist with wp Zimmer in Antwerp which has helped provide logistic, administrative and (post-)production support.
